Artist's Comments

Brunhilda the Barbarian, scourge of the northern shores, an original character inspired by partly by Red Sonja, one of my favorite comic book characters, and partly by Hellga a.k.a. Robin Coleman, one of the American Gladiators from that show's latest incarnation.

The guy on the left with the axe is her second in command Johan the Small (but don't let the name fool you. He's actually quite big).

You've really got a knack for this style, I can see why you want to start selling them at conventions :)

Well, I've been showing in convention art shows for the past couple years and haven't sold a dang thing (a few prints about three years ago was my last convention sale). At this point I've pretty much given up on conventions.

Bah-humbug to those sci-fi nerds with unachievable expectations of perfection :shakefish:

I dunno what I'm doing wrong. I see a lot of stuff sell that quite frankly isn't nearly as good as mine technically (and I'm hard on myself). For some reason, my stuff just doesn't click with the convention crowd. Oh well. Their loss. I'm exploring other commercial options.

I've gotten a couple Kid's Choice Awards, though, which is nice.

Perhaps its the content...if you're going to sci-fi conventions, guys seem to want to see superhero chicks with huge hooters wearing next to nothing. I could be wrong, but thats what they seem to like >_>
